Transition partnerships: Embracing opportunities for innovation

Australian Educational Leader
Volume 38 Issue 4 (Dec 2016)

Abstract: The importance and impact of the early years on children's long-term outcomes has been recognised across the world (OECD, 2006). The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) notes that investment in high quality early childhood education and care can provide children with a positive start to life (OECD, 2006). Additionally, it is clear that experiences in early childhood have a lasting influence on children's future learning, behaviour and health outcomes (CDC, 2009).
