The pervasive influence of Alan Turing's genius

Abstract: Alan Mathison Turing OBE FRS was born on 23 June 1912 and tragically died on 7 June 1954. Thus 2012, his centenary, has been declared the Alan Turing Year. His achievements have been celebrated by many nations across the world, even to Google using an animated Turing machine as their logo around the time of his birthday.
