"Stronger futures" is disempowering, damaging and doomed to fail

Indigenous Law Bulletin
Volume 7 Issue 30 (May/June 2012)

Abstract: Five years after its introduction, the Northern Territory Emergency Response (the 'Intervention') continues to divide opinions on the way forward for Indigenous policy in Australia. While much of the evidence points to the 'Emergency Response' being a dramatic policy failure, the Federal Government is poised to extend the Intervention for a further 10 years.
