Abstract: The federal Labor leader believes that his party has always been prepared to modernise their policy to reflect the changing circumstances of the world. Australia is the second biggest supplier of mined uranium in the world and they should use this position to support global non-proliferation efforts, thus being a driving force for major improvements in nuclear safety.
