Abstract: Artist printmaker Tony Ameneiro's commitment to printmaking and the exacting skills required to produce masterful works through the mediums of drawing, etching, relief (linocut), and lithography on paper, were again rewarded with two exhibitions in Sydney. The first, Pentimenti Prints: an Australian Italian Exchange portfolio of Variable Prints, was an inspired exhibition, opened by Dr Alessandro Bertini Malgarni, Director of the Italian Institute of Culture, Sydney, where it showed late 2012. Here Ameneiro took his head to new ground with two portraits of enigmatic intensity. The exhibition was subsequently shown at the Faculty of Creative Arts Gallery, University of Wollongong, and at the Tipografia Grifani Donati, Museum of Graphic Arts in Citta di Castello, Italy.
