Homelessness Early Intervention Programs in the Private Rental Market

Parity
Volume 22 Issue 3 (Apr 2009)

Abstract: In this paper we report on the achievements of two early intervention tenant support services delivered by Ruah Community Services in Perth WA, and designed to assist those at risk of homelessness in the Perth private rental market. The reason for reporting on their experience here is that these and other similar services in Western Australia, working through various tenant support programs in operation in WA, provide useful guideposts for agencies as the White Paper's new early intervention programs begin to be rolled out over the coming year.
