about this publication

Abstract: Liver cleansing or detoxification programs (LDP) are promoted as rapid cleanses lasting five to ten days or longer and involve dietary restriction and concomitant use of nutrient and herbal supplements to support the process. The goal of most LDPs are to reduce exposure to known toxins, increase excretory functions, and improve the liver's ability to metabolize toxins.
